What you’ll need:
- A good driving history, with the capacity to learn to safely and reliably drive a heavy passenger vehicle
- Complete a National Police Check from Tasmania Police
- Hold (or can obtain) a working with vulnerable people (WWVP) card
- Have held a current, full Australian Driver’s Licence for at least 2 years
- Have full working rights in Australia
- Pass a pre-employment physical assessment, including a Drug and Alcohol test
- Obtain a Public Passenger Vehicle (PPV) licence
Training
You will commence your employment at Metro as a casual employee for the duration of your 6-week training program. This allows for flexibility in your training schedule. On completion of your training, you will then transition to your Full-Time position.
Don’t have a heavy vehicle licence yet? No worries... You’ll start your career at Metro with 6 weeks of paid, extensive training to get your heavy rigid Metro licence.
